2010 BMW F10 5-Series Leaked

The official details of the 2010 BMW 5-Series will be released, and as an early treat we bring you a few leaked shots showing the partial front end of the F10 model. The photos were posted on forum site 5post over the weekend.

The new generation model has been described as the most beautiful BMW of our time, according to a BMW official. We can't see a great deal in these photos supporting this statement with little more than evolutionary design elements rather than revolutionary.

An evolution of the current engine line-up is likely to be inherited by the new model - albeit with a few tweaks for better performance and fuel ecomony. If rumours are to be believed, we will also see the introduction of an entry level four-cylinder petrol turbo engine as well.

Baby BMW M Car Takes Shape

BMW might be building ridiculous M-Power SUVs like the X5 and X6 but this is what they should be making: a storming version of the 1 Series.

Tuner WheelSTO has instead taken the mantle from BMW and is slowly working on producing the ultimate incarnation of the smallest Beemer money can buy.

The WheelSTO 135i coupe packs a host of tuning goodies from a range of companies to showcase just how good a 1 Series can get - and give BMW a prompter to build an official M-Power 1 Series.

The baby Beemer gets a new front apron, boot spoiler, lowered H&R sport springs, aluminium sport pedals, 19-inch Advan RS alloy wheels in a gunmetal finish, a reprogrammed ECU to up power and - of course - the all important M-Power signature quad exhausts at the rear.

The WheelSTO 135i coupe has also been decked out in stripe decals running along the side which, rather strangely, work on this little monster.

No word on power, but expect it to be rather epic. The standard 135i Coupe boasts an award-winning 3-litre twin-turbocharged petrol unit developing a stonking 306bhp and 295lb/ft of pulling power - as much torque as the V8-powered BMW M3.

The standard 135i Coupe sprints from 0-62mph in just 5.3 seconds, equal to the old BMW M3, and tops out at a limited 155mph.

We tested this engine in the fantastic BMW 335i coupe and were blown away by its performance. It snarls like a proper old-school Beemer should, and the power delivery from the turbos was so linear you'd think it was a naturally-aspirated model.

We're guessing WheelSTO aren't finished with this yet, so stay tuned for more updates. Now how about transplating the fabulous 3-litre with a twin-turbo V8...

BMW 335i Touring with Performance Parts

I, personally, have always admitted that Touring models are not my all time favorite cars and that impression has not changed so far, despite many attempts I have made over the years to change my perception. But….today, I might have a change of heart. The BMW 335i Touring with Performance Parts showcased below has made me re-asses my feelings toward Tourings or Wagons, as we call them here in the U.S.

The BMW Performance Parts program offers an extensive range of performance upgrades, from exterior aerodynamic components to interior upgrades and increased power. The recent Frankfurt Auto Show setup was used to showcase some of the BMW vehicles fully “dressed” with performance parts.

Now imagine taking some of these performance parts and add them to a BMW 335i Touring, the 3 Series Wagon that is still quite popular in Europe.

The result?

It can be admired below and it is by far one of the best looking Tourings I have seen so far, mostly due to the exterior performance upgrades, special wheels and the hard to ignore beautiful sound coming from the special BMW Performance exhaust system. The video below will portray what I have just said…..

Eespected BMW Motorcycle

Since its inception in 1913, Germany, the Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (BMW) is a synonym for quality and craftsmanship. But while BMW's are usually associated with the car, it actually took to make his business aircraft engines until the time that aircraft production has been banned in Germany in 1919 by the Treaty of Versailles. Turning its attention to other modes to keep the business, and BMW was quick to start producingon the BMW motorcycle in 1923.

This production came from the experience of the company in aeroengineering so that they can learn what would work the popular BMW Boxer engine. These boxer engine - which has been redesigned and has rebuilt several times before reaching this point in the operation - in combination with aluminum alloy and a cylinder boxer engine form the R 32, the first BMW motorcycle and a model for the futureDesigns.

The following year, BMW won a German championship, setting the BMW brand for more wins and get a call to the top. In fact, the R 37 - the next in the R-Series from BMW Motorrad is introduced - just two years after the R-32 and is defined by its racing design, a design that much success in the racing world brings.
Variations of the R-model BMW motorcycles continue to be produced for bothConsumer and racing use. Different styles of design have been at the consumer at the time of the meeting and have the financial position of the company. But even when BMW officially began producing cars in the late 1920s put the BMW Motorrad, the prime product of the company. BMW continues to produce on the R series BMW motorcycle up until the 1980s, when the K-series was put on the market.

The current BMW motorcycle will still reveredthe market so much for the name of the product. The products that BMW continues to deliver the superior reputation of the brand to maintain, and the brand in consumers alike rely.

BMW Z4 Revealed New

BMW has released details and photos of its upcoming refresh of the Z4 Roadster, which is scheduled to bow at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show.

The latest victim of BMW's awkward naming scheme, the Z4 sDrive30i features the same 3.0-liter, inline-six engine as the current model, outputting the same 255 horsepower. The more powerful Z4 sDrive35i uses twin turbochargers and direct injection to breathe 45 more ponies into the same 3.0-liter block for a total of 300 horsepower. Connecting the engine to the wheels is a six-speed manual transmission or, in the case of the Z4 sDrive35i, an optional seven-speed double clutch transmission (DCT). Equipped with the DCT, the Z4 sDrive35i can rip off 0-60 runs in five seconds flat and continues all the way to an electronically-limited 130 mph (150 mph when equipped with the optional Sport Package).
The Z4's styling has evolved slightly, now featuring more swept-back headlamps and front air dam details and hood creases that make the new model seem as though it's grown more than the 5.8 inches that it's stretched. Out back, new tail-lamps and a less aggressive ducktail complete the new long and lean look.

The most obvious change is the new power hardtop. This new, two-piece aluminum roof opens or closes in 20 seconds at the push of a button. Trunk space is still at a minimum, but a new through-loading system allows long items, such as golf bags to intrude into the cabin when the top is up.
In the cabin, the new Z4 can be equipped with an 80 GB hard drive-based navigation system which features the new generation of iDrive. The system feature the new iDrive controller mounted on the center console and a huge 8.8-inch widescreen monitor situated beneath a motorized door on the dash. Up to 15 GB of the hard drive's space can be used for storing digitally ripped music.

The Z4 can also be equipped with an optional 14 speaker plus two subwoofers, for a total of 16 drivers, hi-fi system that outputs 650-watts. An aux-in jack and an MP3-compatible CD-player complete the standard digital audio options. There's no word yet on iPod capabilities, but if BMW's other offerings are any indicator, it can be assumed that there will be an optional adapter. While Bluetooth handsfree is available as an option, we'd like to see that as standard.
